Airbrush Colours
CREATEX Airbrush Colours are professional grade
airbrush colours, are manufactured with the highest quality control
standards. CREATEX uses the finest pigments available and the colours have
a brightness and richness unmatched by others. These
colours can be used on a variety of surfaces (i.e. fabrics, felt, leather,
canvas, paper, wood, ceramics, cement, fingernails plastic and clay) with
permanent results. CREATEX also produces airbrush additives which allow
artists to "customise' the colours for specific applications. All
CREATEX Airbrush Colours are waterbased, non-toxic, and meet ASTM-D 4236
safety standards.

Textile
Artists: These colours are great for fabrics,
especially quilts.
You can spray the paints using an air brush.
Painting onto any type of fabric is easy.
Painting fine lines onto silk scarves works wonders.

Fabrics-Including
100 % cotton, 50/50 blends, denim, T shirts, and most natural fibres
1) For best results, wash item first.
2) Airbrush the design, avoid over saturation and excessive paint
layering.
3) Allow colours to dry, heat gun may be used. Drying time varies
depending on application.
4) Heatset fabric for permanence by one of the following methods:
a) Iron for 2 minutes at 150°C use a protective cloth, keep iron moving.
b) Turn item inside out and put in clothes dryer for 40 minutes at highest
heat.
For best results, Bond All and Catalyst should be used when heatsetting by
this method.
Leather
1) Clean leather by wiping with methylated spirits or rubbing alcohol.
2) For best results, lightly spray a base coat of Opaque White on areas to
be sprayed.
3) Apply colour, avoiding over saturation and excessive paint layering.
4) Allow colours to dry thoroughly before heatsetting.
5) Iron for 30 minutes at 110°C using a protective cloth, or use a hot
air gun at highest level for five minutes.
Paper and
Canvas
1) Apply Colour, avoiding thick buildup.
2) When using high tack friskets, dilute colours 25 % with water. Colours
are permanent when dry.
Wood
1) Prepare surface by lightly sanding, wipe clean.
2) Apply colour, avoiding thick buildup of paint. Allow colours to dry for
24 hrs. before applying clear finish.
Ceramics or
Clay
1) Apply colour in thin even coats, avoid thick buildup.
2) Do not exceed temperatures of 150°C when baking. Colours are permanent
for handling after 24 hrs.

Cleaner-available in 60ml, 120ml
Highly concentrated, biodegradable cleaner for use with all water-based
colours. Used to clean airbrushes & colour jars.
Airbrush
Extender Transparent Medium -available in 60ml, 120ml, 240ml, 480ml sizes
Add to CREATEX airbrush colours for transparency. Extends colours to a
lighter value or as a top binder for fabrics. Thins colours. See label for
usage information.
Opaque Medium
-available in 60mls, 120mls, 240mls, 480mls, 960mls
For white and light colored surfaces. Add Opaque Medium for opacity or to
create pastel colours. May be
intermixed with all other CREATEX Airbrush Colours. For both light and
dark colored surfaces. Add Airbrush Extender to increase transparency.
Add Opaque Medium to create pastel colours. May be mixed with other
opaque or transparent colours.
Fluorescent
colours-are transparent, ready to spray.
Best when applied over a thin layer of opaque white.

Pearlised-colours
available in 60mls, 120mls
Cover both light and dark coloured surfaces. Colours have a shimmering
metallic look which changes at the angle of light. Mix with other
iridescent, pearlised, transparent, or fluorescent colours.
Iridescent
colours available in 60mls, 120mls
For coverage on light & dark surfaces, base coat surface with Opaque
White. Mix with transparent, pearlised, or other fluorescent colours.
Covers both light and dark coloured surfaces. Colours have a
shimmering metallic finish. Mix
with other pearlised, transparent, fluorescent, iridescent, and
chameleons.
Chameleon
Colours available in 60mls, 120mls
Covers both light and dark coloured surfaces. Colours have a slight
metallic colour cast until reflected with light which then produces a
brilliant shimmering effect. changes at the angle of light. Mix with
iridescent, pearlised, transparent, or fluorescent colours.
