Happy healthy fun coloursFabric Dyes

I am very happy to be able to distribute CREATEX paints & dyes in Australia & the Pacific Region.  I have been using these colours since 1992.  I was first introduced to the monotype colours and now I use just about everything available in my art practice.

My concern for environmentally friendly ways of working has led me to seek a high quality, non-toxic colour system that encourages less waste.

CREATEX Paints & mediums can be intermixed.  This allows you to  invent your own unique colours.

CREATEX pioneered the first non-toxic Liquid Fibre Reactive Dyes.  I have so much fun using these.

PRINTMAKERS can now safely enjoy Solarplate etching, relief printing, screenprinting, monotype & collographs onto paper and fabric using non-toxic materials.

Screenprinters: Have you tried LYNTEX?  This is a transparent print paste that when mixed with liquid pure pigments allows you to create your own customised colours.  No smell, no fumes, non-toxic, no exhaust fans, no masks, no paper warping.  By adding opaque medium you can control the covering capacity.

Clay workers
Glazes - for an easy non-firing glaze, try multi purpose paints, multi surface paints or airbrush colours. Great on bisque ware.  Apply heat either with a heat gun or in an oven to 150 degrees for a permanent colour glaze.  This is often used for community art projects.

Textile Artists
These colours can be used as a resist under dyes. I like to use them for fine line decoration on silk.  The pearlescent colours are especially popular with textile artists. Felt makers find that fine lines can be achieved over felt.

Liquid Fibreactive Dyes
I have some helpful brochures available if you want to mix your own dye diluent and painting medium. These dyes are suitable for all natural fibres, cotton, silk, hemp, linen, wool, grasses and reads, and, basketry.

People with Allergies find that they are now able to go back to printmaking or use paints on textiles that will not have an adverse effect on their health.  Sealers for wood are especially popular, eg Gloss medium, Airbrush extender base or acrylic medium (soft gel).
